Cooperation with Denmark: Enhancing the Capacity of Wind Power Instructors

From September 23 to 26, 2025, the Vocational College of Machinery and Irrigation, in collaboration with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Ho Chi Minh City Branch (VCCI-HCM) and the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI), successfully organized the training course “Enhancing the Capacity of Instructors in Wind Turbine Operation and Maintenance.”
The course was attended by 21 instructors from four colleges:

  • the Vocational College of Machinery and Irrigation,

  • Khanh Hoa College of Technology and Energy,

  • Southern College of Technology and Agro-Forestry, and

  • Central College of Electro-Mechanics, Construction and Agro-Forestry.

The opening ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including:

  • Mr. Thomas Skov-Hansen, Regional Partnership Director for Southeast Asia, Confederation of Danish Industry (DI);

  • Ms. Bui Thi Ninh, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Ho Chi Minh City Branch (VCCI-HCM);

On the side of the Vocational College of Machinery and Irrigation, the ceremony was joined by Rector Nguyen Van Chuong and Vice Rector Pham Duy Dong.

The training course focused on updating and sharing new knowledge, technologies, and advanced teaching methods related to safety systems (LOTO), hydraulic systems, and SCADA in wind turbines.
The sessions were delivered by highly experienced experts, Mr. Kenneth Olesen and Mr. Jesper Kramer Madsen from Mercantec College (Denmark).

This event reaffirms the College’s strong commitment to enhancing training quality and its readiness to supply a high-skilled workforce for Vietnam’s rapidly growing renewable energy sector.
